About us

Gral Film was established in Zagreb in 1995 as a private, limited liability company entirely owned by Tomislav Žaja and Zoran Budak, who are also the company’s managers.

Tomislav Žaja earned his masters degree in film and television direction at the Film Academy (FAMU) in Prague, and he has since acquired a wealth of experience as a script-writer, director and producer in numerous domestic and international film and television productions.

Zoran Budak has worked on over thirty international film co-productions over the past twenty-five years as an 1st assistant director. He also works as a script-writer, director and producer.
